Physically attaching camcorders to a microscope is usually possible using the Brunel Unilink. Most have a lens screw thread, and a number of these are 37 mm in diameter and will attach to the Unilink directly. A list of some of the more common camcorders is shown below and continues on the following page. The move towards even smaller cameras is tending to have units with smaller diameter lenses and some now omit the screw thread. If in doubt please email us at mail@brunelmicroscopes.co.uk. Once the camera is attached to the Unilink it is usually necessary to zoom into the image for it to fully fill the field of view. Set the camera controls to infinity not macro.
